Red Rock Crossing
When photographing Red Rock Crossing, it is very helpful to bring a pair of waders… or at least a change of clothes in case you get wet. That’s because there are so many fascinating compositions available, but the best ones can be found by exploring in the river on foot.
In this shot I set my tripod between these two rocks and used a neutral density filter to allow a long shutter speed, blurring the waters motion. By waiting for the perfect moment when the setting sun washed Cathedral Rock in light, I had captured an image that became a real keeper.
